A minha viagem com EM são as experiências que vivi com a minha implacável amiga, a esclerose múltipla. A EM, uma doença do sistema nervoso central, traz consigo muitos problemas. Antes de continuar, deixe-me fazer algumas perguntas sem resposta, como o que pensaria se alguém o chamasse de bêbado, mas você não fosse. O que pensaria se, aos 22 anos ou mais, tivesse de usar uma bengala para andar? O que pensaria se todos os aspetos comuns da vida ficassem para trás? E tantas outras perguntas sem resposta, mas para quem, não sei. Talvez algumas das minhas experiências relacionadas com isto possam ajudar os médicos e os espectadores normais a saber mais sobre os sentimentos de um doente com EM e também sobre os problemas que ele tem de estar preparado para enfrentar. Adicionei mais alguns pontos sobre o que devemos comer e o que não devemos comer. A nossa alimentação pode piorar a condição ou pode ajudar-nos a nível celular e sintomático.
