Im Folgenden stelle ich die drei neuesten Forschungskapitel vor. Zunächst werden die Häute von vier koreanischen Meeresfischarten mittels biochemischer Verfahren charakterisiert. Anschließend wird dem Futter Fischmehl aus Flunderhaut beigemischt, das den vier anderen Hautarten überlegen ist, um die Proteinquelle im Futter zu ersetzen; der Fütterungsversuch führt zu einer Verbesserung der Wachstumsleistung, der Körperzusammensetzung und der Stressbewältigung bei Jungfischen der Art „Black Rockfish'. Schließlich werden die essbaren Teile der Zuchtfische hinsichtlich ihrer ernährungsphysiologischen Eigenschaften analysiert.
