The purpose of this text is to discuss the gastronomic culture of one of Brazil’s states, Acre. In view of its historical and geographical formation, the state of Acre, which belongs to the Northern Region of Brazil, has a peculiar identity in its gastronomy due to the miscegenation of the food cultures of the Brazilian Indians, the inhabitants of northeastern Brazil and the immigrants who populated the Brazilian Amazon.
