Diese Arbeit untersucht die Auswirkungen von nachhaltigen Marketingstrategien auf das Markenimage lokaler Unternehmen in Mwene-Ditu, DRK. Anhand einer Umfrage unter 96 Unternehmen zeigt die Studie, dass die Einführung von Nachhaltigkeitsmarketing noch marginal ist und durch einen Mangel an Fachwissen, institutioneller Unterstützung und Kommunikation behindert wird. Die Ergebnisse zeigen jedoch, dass ein gut strukturierter und authentischer Ansatz die Kundenbindung stärken und die Markenwahrnehmung verbessern kann. Die Autorin schlägt einen konzeptionellen Rahmen vor, der die ökologische, soziale und wirtschaftliche Dimension integriert, und formuliert konkrete Empfehlungen für Unternehmen und lokale Behörden.
