Il presente lavoro è un tentativo di progettare compresse orosolubili di cloridrato di ondansetron. Il complesso farmaceutico è stato formulato mediante compressione diretta in compresse orosolubili utilizzando cellulosa microcristallina PH 102 come diluente e croscarmosano sodico e sodio amido glicolato come superdisintegranti, mentre l’aspartame è stato utilizzato come agente dolcificante per migliorare l’appetibilità. Il mascheramento del gusto è stato ottenuto utilizzando la resina polacrilex Tulsion 335. La formulazione preparata può essere utile per i pazienti che hanno difficoltà di deglutizione.
