L’insegnamento è una funzione fondamentale dell’università, nella quale sono racchiuse tutte le altre funzioni. Ciò rende la politica didattica un elemento chiave nell’istruzione universitaria. Il rendimento accademico dell’Università di Amoud è diminuito drasticamente nel periodo 2010-2013, passando dal 31,4% nel 2010 al 45,1% nel 2011, al 46,2% nel 2012 e al 51,8% nel 2013, con un aumento del 4,75% ogni anno. Tuttavia, l’effetto della politica didattica non è stato isolato. L’indagine ha utilizzato un campione di 152 insegnanti e 760 studenti, nel periodo settembre-novembre 2014. Ha stabilito che il metodo di insegnamento (F [1, 111] = 11,230, p = 0,029); R = 0,794, R2 adj. = 0,596); la valutazione degli studenti (F [1, 111] = 28,200, p = 0,038); R = 0,569, R2 adj. = 0,309) e la qualifica degli insegnanti (F [1, 111] = 4,56, p = 0,001; R = 0,640, R2 adj. = 0,383) influenzano in modo significativo il rendimento scolastico. Tuttavia, i materiali didattici (F [1, 111] = 0,150, p = 0,699) non hanno alcun effetto. Lo studio ha concluso che la politica didattica ha un effetto significativo sul rendimento scolastico presso l’Università di Amoud. Raccomanda che l’Università riveda la sua politica didattica per enfatizzare la discussione, le metodologie eclettiche e assistite dalla tecnologia, nonché i metodi di valutazione che incoraggiano la riflessione degli studenti, con il giusto mix di struttura.
