Quando falamos de hábitos de estudo, referimo-nos às estratégias que o estudante tem para adquirir conhecimentos significativos. Nesta ocasião, a forma de abordar o tema será identificar os 'hábitos de estudo' dos estudantes de enfermagem dos cursos de licenciatura e de formação básica oferecidos pelo Centro Universitário de Ciências da Saúde de Guadalajara, Jalisco, México. É importante reconhecer que, pelo menos na América Latina, as universidades que oferecem formação profissional não dispõem de unidades de aprendizagem relacionadas com métodos ou formas de estudo que possam ser úteis aos novos estudantes (na sua maioria), e o problema agrava-se quando os conteúdos são extensos e com terminologia muito especializada. Na presente publicação, vemos como os diferentes grupos de estudantes, um a nível de licenciatura, gerem hábitos que lhes permitem obter uma nota de aprovação satisfatória, enquanto a maioria dos estudantes de licenciatura tem dificuldade em passar unidades de aprendizagem com conteúdos muito técnicos, por exemplo: anatomia, bioquímica, microbiologia, entre outros.
