O co-teaching desempenha um papel essencial na área da Nova Escola Secundária (NMS). Por isso, este trabalho aborda o tema, especialmente a área da atitude profissional no co-teaching. As análises foram realizadas com a ajuda de entrevistas semiestandardizadas a especialistas em duas escolas NMS na Áustria. O objetivo deste trabalho é verificar quatro hipóteses sobre as seguintes características: atitudes e valores comuns no ensino conjunto, características do sucesso do co-teaching, cooperação estreita e resolução conjunta de problemas e efeitos positivos na qualidade do ensino. Todas as hipóteses de trabalho - com exceção da terceira, que só pôde ser parcialmente confirmada - foram verificadas.
