The primary objective of this study is to determine the chemical composition of an essential oil (EO) extracted from Schinus molle (false pepper tree) and to evaluate its insecticidal, antioxidant, and antimicrobial activities. The yield of Schinus molle EO averages 2.64% of dry matter. Its chemical composition reveals the presence of 97 compounds. Toxicological tests revealed that this EO exhibits insecticidal activity against one species of mosquito and two species of stored-product pests. In addition, repellency tests demonstrated the repellent effect of this treatment against Sitophilus granarius and Rhyzopertha dominica. This oil exhibits strong antioxidant activity and antimicrobial activity, as tested on four bacterial strains and one fungal strain.
