L’interenseignement est une méthodologie pédagogique dérivée d’anciens formats d’enseignement issus de la psychologie comportementale. L’interenseignement intègre des discussions dyadiques entre pairs, la réalisation préalable de guides de préparation, des cours magistraux de clarification axés sur les concepts difficiles à partir des commentaires écrits des étudiants, et une composante d’examens fréquents. L’interteaching s’est révélé être une alternative efficace aux cours magistraux traditionnels dans les universités proposant des cursus de quatre ans, mais l’interteaching et ses composantes n’avaient pas encore été explorés dans d’autres contextes, notamment dans les établissements d’enseignement supérieur communautaires. Cette recherche comprenait deux parties. L’étude 1 reproduisait systématiquement les recherches antérieures menées dans le cadre d’une université proposant des cursus de quatre ans, en examinant l’efficacité de l’interteaching par rapport aux cours magistraux dans les établissements d’enseignement supérieur communautaires. L’étude 2 examinait la composante examens fréquents de l’interteaching dans les établissements d’enseignement supérieur communautaires.
