Kontekst: Każdego roku szkoły na całym świecie doświadczają katastrof, od niewielkich po duże, które mają wpływ na bezpieczeństwo i zdrowie dzieci. Nauczyciele odgrywają istotną rolę w ochronie dzieci. Dlatego też szkolenie nauczycieli jest bardzo ważne dla skutecznego zarządzania katastrofami w szkołach. Cel: Niniejsze badanie ma na celu ocenę skuteczności instrukcji edukacyjnych dotyczących wiedzy i umiejętności nauczycieli szkolnych w zakresie katastrof i udzielania pierwszej pomocy dzieciom w wieku szkolnym. Przedmiot i metody: Do przeprowadzenia badania wykorzystano projekt quasi-eksperymentalny. Przydzielono celową próbę 59 nauczycieli szkolnych ze szkoły przygotowawczej Mostafa Kamel i szkoły podstawowej Emad Ali Kamel w Kairze w Egipcie. Dane zebrano poprzez: dane demograficzne, wiedzę nauczycieli szkół na temat pierwszej pomocy i zarządzania katastrofami, listę kontrolną obserwacji dotyczącą pierwszej pomocy i zarządzania katastrofami. Wyniki: badanie wykazało, że w zakresie wiedzy 18,6% nauczycieli posiadało zadowalającą wiedzę na temat pierwszej pomocy przed interwencją, natomiast po interwencji odsetek ten wyniósł 66,1%. Jeśli chodzi o praktykę, 59,3% z nich uzyskało odpowiednią praktykę w zakresie pierwszej pomocy po wdrożeniu programu, podczas gdy przed interwencją tylko 10,2% z nich ją posiadało.
