• The meter is a very important tool in the use of electricity, it has become even more important in today’s environment when there is a lot of emphasis on energy conservation and resource conservation.• When considering energy measurement, it becomes clear that the meter is a part of energy measurement and therefore the correct meter becomes very important but rather overall, which includes associated current and potential transformers and other wiring practices.• When we talk about energy meter, we come across a scene in which the induction disc is moving from left to right and energy is being recorded through a set of drum type registers.• But now new instruments have come out and microprocessor based meters have come in the market which has revolutionized the metering system.• Now a large number of microprocessor meters are available in the market in which many types of data are collected. These data can be extracted by electronic devices directly or indirectly on the modem.
