Die erheblichen Anstrengungen zur Losung unserer driingendsten soziookono­ misch~n und okologischen Probleme konnten bisher nicht verhindern, daB Belastung und Verbrauch unserer okologischen Existenzbedingungen zunehmend zum Schwiicheglied der okonomischen und gesellschaftlichen Zielvorstellungen wird. Diese Erscheinungen sind einerseits Symptom eines langfristig sich ver­ schiirfenden, auf vielfiiltige Weise vernetzten okologisch-okonomischen Gesamt­ problems, andererseits Hinweis auf das Fehlen von Einsichten in eine Fulle grundlegender okologischer Zusammenhiinge. Das bedeutet, daB die Erwar­ tungen, die in die O Verbesserung von Technologien und Produkten), die Voraussetzung fUr eine gemeinsame Sprache zwischen Okologen, Technologen und Okonomen sind.
