Traditionell haben außergewöhnliche Kinder Ausgrenzung, Diskriminierung und Segregation vom regulären Bildungswesen erfahren. Nur einige dieser außergewöhnlichen Kinder werden in Sonderschulen oder speziellen Klassen untergebracht. Eine große Anzahl dieser Kinder besucht überhaupt keine Schule. Daher sollte das allgemeine Bildungssystem diese außergewöhnlichen Kinder aufnehmen und die inklusive Bildung akzeptieren. Dementsprechend sollten Lehrerausbildungsprogramme, Dozenten in der Lehrerausbildung, Lehrer, Eltern und Gemeindemitglieder die erfolgreiche Umsetzung der inklusiven Bildung fördern. Für eine erfolgreiche Umsetzung der inklusiven Bildung sollte das Lehrerausbildungsprogramm:• die Lehramtsanwärter für Praktiken der inklusiven Bildung sensibilisieren• bei allen Lehramtsanwärtern ein Bewusstsein für die Ausbildung von außergewöhnlichen Kindern schaffen• positive Einstellungen bei den Lehramtsanwärtern gegenüber Kindern mit Behinderungen entwickeln• den Lehramtsanwärtern Wissen über verschiedene Behinderungen vermitteln• die Lehramtsanwärter mit den Fähigkeiten ausstatten, verschiedene Kategorien von außergewöhnlichen Kindern in allgemeinen Klassenzimmern zu betreuen• das Bewusstsein der Lehramtsanwärter für Bildungspolitiken und Programme für Kinder mit besonderen Bedürfnissen schärfen.
