Die Familie Diaspididae ist in Ägypten mit 94 Arten vertreten, die zu 47 Gattungen gehören; die in der vorliegenden Arbeit vorgenommene Klassifizierung betrifft 2 Unterfamilien: Aspidiotinae und Diaspidinae.
