L’objectif de cette recherche est de comprendre le processus de constitution de l’identité des enseignants du secondaire au Cap-Vert à travers les relations sociales et professionnelles, et d’apporter un matériel scientifique potentiel à la littérature cap-verdienne pour de futures recherches sur la question. En articulant l’approche socio-historique développée par Vygotsky et certains de ses disciples et la théorie de l’identité développée par Ciampa, ainsi que l’utilisation de divers autres auteurs liés à l’étude de l’identité et du professionnalisme de l’enseignement, une analyse est faite des récits construits dans des entretiens semi-structurés avec huit enseignants sélectionnés de l’école secondaire Amílcar Cabral à Santa Catarina, au Cap-Vert.
