Primus tractatus, De Virtutibus, est de virtutibus moralibus et intellectualibus, quas Plotinus considerat esse necessarias ad animae puritatem et perfectionem. Secundus tractatus, Adversus Gnosticos Libellos, est contra doctrinam gnosticismi, quae Plotinus putat esse falsa et perniciosa. In hoc tractatu, Plotinus refutat argumenta gnosticos et ostendit errores doctrinae eorum.
