Les nouvelles technologies émergentes offrent aux apprenants de nouveaux outils pour soutenir l’apprentissage à l’échelle mondiale. Cependant, l’utilisation des technologies mobiles pour l’apprentissage au Nigeria est à la traîne. Il est donc nécessaire d’étudier la perception des étudiants de premier cycle sur l’adoption des technologies mobiles pour l’apprentissage dans le sud-ouest du Nigeria. Les objectifs de cette étude étaient d’examiner : (i) la perception des étudiants de premier cycle concernant l’utilité, la facilité d’utilisation, l’attitude et l’intention d’utiliser les technologies mobiles pour l’apprentissage (MTFL) ; (ii) les relations qui existent entre l’utilité perçue par les étudiants de premier cycle, la facilité d’utilisation, l’attitude et l’intention d’utiliser les MTFL ; (iii) le genre des étudiants de premier cycle concernant l’utilité perçue, la facilité d’utilisation, l’attitude et l’intention d’utiliser les MTFL. L’étude a conclu qu’il existait des relations significatives entre l’utilité perçue, la facilité d’utilisation, l’attitude et l’intention des étudiants de premier cycle d’utiliser la TA pour l’apprentissage. Cependant, il n’y a pas de différence significative entre toutes les variables en fonction du sexe. L’implication est que la TA peut grandement influencer l’apprentissage des étudiants dans les universités nigérianes.
