Lo scopo di questa ricerca monografica era quello di analizzare i pannelli del ponte realizzati con polimeri rinforzati con fibra di vetro. Considerando le strutture future, i materiali compositi in fibra di vetro sono molto promettenti. È possibile creare campate di ponti costituite da travi principali in acciaio e ponti in GFRP (secondo l’esempio del sistema ASSET). L’identificazione del tipo di fibra di vetro, della matrice polimerica o dei tipi di adesivo con acciaio o calcestruzzo è un argomento molto interessante. Secondo la ricerca dell’autore, l’identificazione parallela del pannello in GFRP: analisi DTA, analisi spettroscopica, scansione e monitoraggio al microscopio ottico sono stati presentati con la ricerca di base sullo stress - resistenza alla flessione dei pannelli del ponte in GFRP. L’uso di compositi in fibra ha un grande potenziale nella costruzione di ponti. Queste costruzioni di ponti hanno una maggiore durata, sono anticorrosione, hanno un ponte leggero e hanno parametri di stress imponenti; tutte sono una buona alternativa alle strutture tradizionali.
