Au Pakistan, les écoles, principalement dans les villages, fonctionnent souvent sans les besoins fondamentaux tels que l’électricité, l’éclairage, l’eau, les toilettes, les salles de classe et des bâtiments sûrs. De plus en plus d’études montrent que les installations scolaires peuvent avoir un impact profond sur les résultats des enseignants et des élèves. En ce qui concerne les enseignants, les installations scolaires ont une incidence sur le recrutement, la rétention, l’engagement et les efforts des enseignants. En ce qui concerne les élèves, les installations scolaires ont une incidence sur leur santé, leur comportement, leur engagement, leur apprentissage et l’amélioration de leurs résultats. Les chercheurs concluent donc généralement que sans installations et ressources adéquates, il est extrêmement difficile de répondre aux besoins complexes d’un grand nombre d’enfants. Cette étude vise à examiner le manque d’installations auquel sont confrontés les enseignants du primaire, ses causes, les différentes méthodes utilisées par les enseignants pour faire face à ce problème, ainsi que l’expérience des enseignants dans leurs tentatives pour résoudre ou surmonter ce problème. Cette étude cherche également à examiner le rôle du directeur dans la gestion du problème du manque d’installations scolaires.
