Предметом анализа данной книги является специфика политики национальной безопасности США через призму осуществления военных интервенций в ближневосточном регионе и их особенности. Ближний Восток - это регион, в котором постоянно происходят конфликты с применением насилия, этнические и религиозные конфликты. В книге анализируются военные интервенции США на Ближнем Востоке, процесс принятия решений и возможные последствия для регионального мира и безопасности. С методологической точки зрения использовалось программное решение DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis), которое сравнивалось с Глобальным индексом мира, включающим страны, в которых проводились военные интервенции в период с 2001 по конец 2015 года. В исследовании анализируется военная эффективность США на Ближнем Востоке.
