Le nanoparticelle magnetiche hanno attirato sempre più attenzione grazie alle loro potenziali applicazioni in molti settori industriali, estendendo il loro utilizzo anche in applicazioni biomediche come sistemi di somministrazione di farmaci, impianti, biosensori, lab-on-chip, miglioramento delle immagini, terapia ipertermica e così via. Per migliori applicazioni sperimentali, le nanoparticelle magnetiche vengono incapsulate. Il materiale di rivestimento utilizzato in questo studio è il pullulano. Il pullulano è un espansore plasmatico non tossico e non immunogenico che viene rivestito con nanoparticelle magnetiche. L’acetilazione del pullulano viene effettuata utilizzando il metodo di Motozato e, insieme a questo, è stato preparato un gel magnetico. Le nanoparticelle magnetiche rivestite con acetato di pullulano sono il risultato della combinazione di acetato di pullulano e nanoparticelle magnetiche mediante il metodo di diffusione del solvente. Il campione è stato caratterizzato utilizzando XRD (diffrazione dei raggi X), FTIR (spettroscopia infrarossa con trasformata di Fourier), SEM (microscopia elettronica a scansione), VSM (magnetometria a campione vibrante) e DLS (diffusione dinamica della luce). Gli studi di biocompatibilità mostrano la percentuale di vitalità cellulare con diverse concentrazioni di campioni. Il materiale è stato controllato per verificare l’aumento della temperatura variando il campo magnetico e l’intensità del campo.
