Magnetische Nanopartikel finden aufgrund ihrer potenziellen Anwendungsmöglichkeiten in vielen Industriebereichen zunehmend Beachtung, wobei sich ihr Einsatz sogar auf biomedizinische Anwendungen wie Arzneimittelabgabesysteme, Implantate, Biosensoren, Lab-on-a-Chip, Bildverbesserung, Hyperthermie-Therapie usw. ausweitet. Für bessere experimentelle Anwendungen werden magnetische Nanopartikel verkapselt. Das in dieser Studie verwendete Beschichtungsmaterial ist Pullulan. Pullulan ist ein ungiftiger, nicht immunogener Plasmaexpander, mit dem die magnetischen Nanopartikel beschichtet werden. Die Acetylierung von Pullulan erfolgt nach der Methode von Motozato, und gleichzeitig wurde ein magnetisches Gel hergestellt. Pullulanacetat-beschichtete magnetische Nanopartikel waren das Ergebnis der Verbindung von Pullulanacetat und magnetischen Nanopartikeln durch das Lösungsmitteldiffusionsverfahren. Die Probe wurde mittels XRD (Röntgendiffraktometrie), FTIR (Fourier-Transform-Infrarotspektroskopie), SEM (Rasterelektronenmikroskopie), VSM (Vibrating Sample Magnetometry) und DLS (Dynamic Light Scattering) charakterisiert. Biokompatibilitätsstudien zeigen den Prozentsatz der Zellviabilität bei unterschiedlichen Konzentrationen der Proben. Das Material wurde auf Temperaturanstieg durch Variation des Magnetfeldes und der Feldintensität überprüft.
