Sobre IBD

A diversidade de fungos formadores de cogumelos da Nigéria Central foi estudada durante três estações consecutivas de chuva e início de seca. Os cogumelos foram caracterizados morfologicamente utilizando a informação contida nas fichas de descrição dos fungos juntamente com ilustrações em guias de campo coloridos. Os espécimes vivos foram efetivamente fotografados in-situ e os lados férteis foram também capturados com uma câmara digital canon. Das muitas incursões, seis (6) grupos de morfoespécies (fungos Ascomycetes, fungos Boletoid e Polyporus, fungos Coral, fungos Gilled, fungos Cortinarius e fungos Non-gilled) ocorreram em toda a região. Também treze (13) tipos de estatura (Amanitoide, Armillarioide, Clitocyboide, Collybioide, Galerinoide, Lepiotoide, Mycenoide, Naucoriod, Omphaloide, Pleurotoide, Pluteotoide, Tricholomatoide e Vaginatoide) foram representados em toda a região. Os cogumelos da região foram consideravelmente inventariados, isolados e identificados morfologicamente.
