Alexandria é a segunda maior cidade e a segunda mais populosa do Egito. A diversidade do uso do solo, bem como os crescentes problemas de transporte, causam muitos conflitos devido à interação entre transporte e uso do solo (LUTI). Esses problemas tornaram-se um fardo para os tomadores de decisão, uma vez que o transporte e o uso do solo são os aspetos mais importantes no plano da cidade, especialmente porque existem poucos estudos relacionados a esse assunto. Com referência ao assunto acima mencionado, são necessárias recomendações para resolver o problema desta LUTI. Este assunto é considerado de grande importância, devido à atual escassez de estudos, bem como a uma modesta tentativa do investigador de ajudar neste âmbito. Este estudo irá referir-se à interação entre o uso do solo e os transportes e discutir alguns dos modelos deste assunto. Ao nível do estudo, são apresentadas análises históricas simples e análises detalhadas relativas ao LUTI, pelo que o estudo é distribuído em duas partes: uma primeira parte teórica e uma segunda parte de implementação.
