Esta tese analisa a prevalência e o impacto dos mitos educativos entre os (futuros) professores do sistema educativo alemão. Os mitos educativos são ideias erradas generalizadas que, apesar da falta de provas empíricas, servem frequentemente de base à ação pedagógica e podem, assim, prejudicar tanto os recursos a nível institucional como a aprendizagem individual. O objetivo deste trabalho foi registar a prevalência de tais mitos, analisar a sua relação com o conhecimento factual da educação e avaliar em que medida a formação de professores contribui para a redução destes equívocos.O ensino baseado em evidências só pode ser promovido a longo prazo através de uma formação orientada e da refutação direta de ideias erradas comuns.
