Die Arbeit befasst sich mit einem interessanten und notwendigen Thema im Zusammenhang mit dem Unterricht der kubanischen Geschichte und insbesondere der lokalen Geschichte. Kapitel I befasst sich mit den theoretischen Bezügen, die die Vertiefung der Kenntnisse über die lokale Geschichte bei Lehrern in der Ausbildung unterstützen. Es befasst sich auch mit dem historischen Hintergrund der kubanischen Geschichte und der Einfügung lokalgeschichtlicher Inhalte in diese, sowie mit den theoretischen Grundlagen, die den Inhalt der Lokalgeschichte in der nationalen Geschichte unterstützen, und bezieht sich auf die methodische Vorbereitung der angehenden Lehrer bei der Vertiefung der lokalgeschichtlichen Kenntnisse in der Grundschulbildung. Kapitel II befasst sich mit der Charakterisierung des Ausgangszustands der Ortskundekenntnisse der angehenden Lehrkräfte; es geht auf die Grundlagen der methodischen Maßnahmen zur Vertiefung der Ortskundeinhalte ein und bewertet kritisch die Umsetzung der methodischen Maßnahmen.
