Le BPO, c’est le fait de confier une partie des processus opérationnels récurrents, qu’ils soient essentiels ou non, d’une organisation à un prestataire externe pour réduire les coûts tout en améliorant la qualité du service. Ils se sont penchés plus particulièrement sur les problèmes de santé, notamment le stress, les niveaux de bruit, les troubles musculaires (comme les maux de dos) et la perte de voix, ainsi que sur les problèmes liés aux écrans, les environnements de travail, les exigences relatives aux postes de travail, les routines quotidiennes, la formation, les pratiques de travail au sein de l’organisation et les horaires de travail. Les employés du BPO ont tout intérêt à prendre soin de leur santé. Ce n’est un secret pour personne : travailler 24 heures sur 24, 7 jours sur 7, sur le long terme, peut nuire à la santé. Cependant, être attentif à sa santé peut limiter les dégâts. Les experts s’accordent à dire qu’une alimentation saine, de l’exercice régulier, la gestion du stress, etc. peuvent aider. Et en plus, ils demandent aux employeurs d’aider leurs employés dans ce domaine.
