Il BPO consiste nell’affidare alcuni dei processi aziendali, sia quelli ripetitivi che quelli fondamentali, a un fornitore esterno per ridurre i costi e migliorare la qualità del servizio. Si sono concentrati in particolare su problemi di salute come lo stress, i livelli di rumore, i disturbi muscolari (come i mal di schiena) e la perdita della voce, ma anche su questioni legate agli schermi, agli ambienti di lavoro, ai requisiti delle postazioni, alle routine quotidiane, alla formazione, alle pratiche organizzative e ai turni. I dipendenti del BPO farebbero bene a prendersi cura della propria salute. Non è un segreto che lavorare a lungo termine in ambienti attivi 24 ore su 24, 7 giorni su 7, possa essere dannoso per la salute. Tuttavia, essere attenti alla salute può limitare i danni. Gli esperti concordano sul fatto che una dieta sana, un regolare esercizio fisico, la gestione dello stress ecc. possano essere d’aiuto. E, cosa ancora più importante, chiedono ai datori di lavoro di aiutare i dipendenti in questo senso.
