L’objectif de cette étude est d’examiner l’occurrence du dialogue dans la vie quotidienne du lycée public João Simões Lopes Neto à Turuçu/RS, une école urbaine (en apparence) avec les caractéristiques d’une école rurale (par essence). L’objectif est également de soulever des questions sur les facteurs qui entravent le dialogue dans la perspective théorique de Paulo Freire. L’arrière-plan ou le contexte de la recherche provient de mon expérience en tant qu’éducateur dans cette école, dans le but de souligner l’importance du dialogue dans la communauté scolaire qui constitue l’école João Simôes Lopes Neto. Elle montre les limites et les contraintes présentes dans la vie quotidienne de la communauté scolaire, tout en annonçant le potentiel présent dans les relations établies en vue de promouvoir la qualité de l’enseignement dans les écoles publiques rurales.
