Le manque de connaissances des enseignants en matière de troubles vocaux est fréquemment souligné dans la littérature phonoaudiologique. Les enseignants n’identifient pas les problèmes vocaux et ne cherchent de l’aide que lorsque le trouble a atteint son degré maximal. Objectif : corréler la présence de troubles vocaux (évaluation perceptive) avec les symptômes vocaux rapportés, les sensations laryngopharyngées et l’indice de handicap vocal chez les enseignants. Méthode : une étude a été menée auprès de 40 enseignants (maternelle I, II, III, primaire et secondaire) d’une école publique située à l’intérieur de l’État de São Paulo. Les participants ont rempli le questionnaire 'Vocal Production Condition-Teacher' (CPV-P) (pour connaître les aspects sociodémographiques, les symptômes et les sensations laryngopharyngées) et le 'Vocal Disadvantage Index' (VDI) (pour connaître l’impact des troubles de la voix sur la vie des enseignants). Après avoir rempli les questionnaires, un échantillon de parole a été prélevé sur chacun des 40 enseignants pour être analysé ultérieurement par des juges orthophonistes.
