Questo studio ha esaminato la relazione tra il coinvolgimento degli studenti e le capacità cognitive sulla permanenza all’università, in presenza di uno status di minoranza. Sono stati analizzati gli effetti di interazione: Elevate capacità cognitive/Elevato coinvolgimento universitario (HCHI); Elevata capacità cognitiva/Basso coinvolgimento universitario (HCLI); Bassa capacità cognitiva/Elevato coinvolgimento universitario (LCHI); e Bassa capacità cognitiva/Basso coinvolgimento universitario (LCLI). I risultati suggeriscono che l’assegnazione al gruppo è significativamente correlata alla permanenza degli studenti al di là degli effetti dello status di minoranza.
