Foi realizado um estudo para compreender os comportamentos de floração, frutificação e qualidade dos frutos da manga Kesar do sul de Gujarat em resposta a diferentes produtos químicos durante 2013-2014 na Universidade Agrícola de Navsari, Navsari. Pode-se resumir que a aplicação foliar de 1% de KNO3 em 15 de outubro, seguida de 0,5% de tioureia em 15 de novembro, resultou em crescimento vegetativo mínimo, induziu a floração precoce com maior rendimento da manga cv. Kesar e retornos monetários sem afetar a qualidade em relação ao controle.
