A poluição generalizada do ambiente com várias substâncias, por vezes completamente alheias à existência normal do corpo humano, constitui uma séria ameaça à nossa saúde e ao bem-estar das gerações futuras. Por conseguinte, os problemas ambientais devem ser tratados de imediato. É necessário limitar os efeitos nocivos da atividade económica sobre o ambiente e minimizar a emissão de substâncias nocivas para a atmosfera
