Cette étude a cherché à déterminer si les compétences socio-émotionnelles (CSE) permettaient de prédire les résultats scolaires (moyenne générale) chez les étudiants universitaires pendant la pandémie de COVID-19. Sur la base des données recueillies auprès de 112 étudiants de premier cycle, les résultats ont montré que tant les CSE que la moyenne générale étaient plus faibles à l’automne 2020 qu’à l’automne 2021. Les SEC étaient associées positivement aux résultats scolaires, mais les prédicteurs les plus importants parmi ces compétences ont évolué au fil du temps. Au début de la pandémie (automne 2020), la gestion des relations était le facteur le plus fortement lié à la moyenne générale, soulignant l’importance du soutien social. À l’automne 2021, la conscience de soi et la prise de décision responsable sont devenues les principaux facteurs prédictifs de la réussite scolaire. Ces résultats suggèrent que les compétences socio-émotionnelles jouent un rôle essentiel pour aider les étudiants à maintenir leurs résultats scolaires et à s’adapter aux défis liés à la crise.
