Abstract:Illustrations in children’s picture books were examined for portrayals of African American males during 1971-1979 and 1980-1990.Dissertation Discovery Company and University of Florida are dedicated to making scholarly works more discoverable and accessible throughout the world. This dissertation, 'Images of African American Males in Realistic Fiction Picture Books 1971-1990' by Mary Allen Hall, was obtained from University of Florida and is being sold with permission from the author.
