Muito paralelamente ao movimento anti-inseticida liderado pela Dra. Rachel Carson na década de 1960 no Ocidente, o princípio do Humanismo Integral foi proposto por Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay na Índia. Ele costumava dizer que a integridade humana na biosfera é o requisito para a existência da biodiversidade e da sociedade humana no planeta Terra, porque os seres humanos são parte integrante da biosfera e não de uma rede robótica ou mecânica. Seria pertinente estudar agora o conceito de humanismo integral no contexto do sistema regenerativo natural evidenciado pelos ciclos de nutrientes como o ciclo do carbono, o ciclo do azoto, etc. Por outro lado, o sistema de sustentabilidade, que não cria de novo o material de partida, estabelecido pelos tecnocratas, constituiu uma ameaça para o ambiente. Os 3Rs, que significam Redução, Reutilização e Reciclagem, indicam hoje em dia as tentativas humanas de criar de novo. Mas, sobretudo, a reciclagem de materiais residuais utiliza a propriedade de coexistência das bioespécies. Parece que os micróbios podem estabelecer um sistema regenerativo perfeito. Neste ponto, vale a pena estudar as preocupações ambientais humanas enquanto parte integrante da biosfera. - Ramesh Kumar Sharma.
