Gli agrumi sono una magnifica coltura frutticola nota in tutto il mondo per le sue proprietà nutrizionali, industriali e mediche. La maggior parte dei consumatori preferisce arance di colore arancione o giallo. Tuttavia, la tecnologia di sverdimento che utilizza l’etelene per migliorare il colore della buccia d’arancia non è praticabile perché esiste sotto forma di gas, quindi può essere sostituita con l’uso dell’etefon. L’etefon è più pratico da usare perché è un liquido.L’obiettivo di questo studio è valutare l’effetto dell’etefon e della temperatura e l’effetto combinato dei fattori sulla qualità dei frutti d’arancia, in particolare in termini di peso e colore nel processo di maturazione, dopo diversi trattamenti e condizioni di conservazione. Per valutare l’effetto dell’etefone sui frutti di arancia abbiamo utilizzato un totale di 16 arance. Il peso e il colore di tutte le arance sono stati misurati rispettivamente con la bilancia di precisione e il cromometro ogni 3 giorni. Il mantenimento e il miglioramento della qualità delle arance comporta una gestione integrata lungo tutta la filiera, dalla coltivazione alla distribuzione, per soddisfare le aspettative dei consumatori e massimizzare il loro valore economico.
