Obszar Mnanka składa się z sekwencji dominujących skał wulkanicznych ryolitowych, chertu i metasedymentów. Złoża złota w obszarze Mnanka są kontrolowane strukturalnie i występują głównie jako złoża związane z hydrotermalnymi intruzjami rozproszonymi. Dlatego dominującymi obserwowanymi strukturami są spękania i pasma przepływowe. Pomiary pasm przepływu naniesione na stereogramy przy użyciu oprogramowania win-TENSOR pozwoliły oszacować ogólny przebieg obszaru leżącego w zakresie 070o do 100o, nachylony pod średnim kątem 70o do 85o, natomiast dane z spoin naniesione na stereogramy sugerują wielokrotne zdarzenia deformacyjne, z których jedno jest zgodne z systemem szczelinowym Afryki Wschodniej (przebieg WSW-ENE, NNE-SSW i N-S).
