Ziel dieser Studie ist es, die Faktoren zu untersuchen, die die Motivation der Schüler beim Erlernen des Fachs Islamische Erziehung in der Sekundarstufe der Internationalen Islamischen Schule (IIS) in Malaysia beeinflussen. Um Daten für diese Studie zu erhalten, wurde ein Instrument entwickelt, das aus einem selbst konstruierten Fragebogen besteht. Dieser Fragebogen, der eine 5-Punkte-Likert-Skala verwendet, enthält 32 Items zur Messung der demografischen Daten der Befragten und vier Konstrukte, die die Schüler zum Erlernen des Fachs Islamische Erziehung motivieren, und zwar: Schülermotivation (SM), elterlicher Einfluss (PI), Pädagogik im Unterricht (SM) und Moral der Lehrer (PM), von denen angenommen wird, dass sie die allgemeine Motivation der Schüler zum Erlernen des Fachs beeinflussen könnten. Die Fragebögen wurden an 170 Befragte verteilt, die mit Hilfe einer nicht-probabilistischen Quotenauswahl ermittelt wurden. Die Ergebnisse dieser Studie deuten darauf hin, dass die Motivation der Befragten, das Fach Islamische Erziehung zu lernen, von allen vier oben genannten Konstrukten beeinflusst wird: Motivation der Schüler (SM), Einfluss der Eltern (PI), Pädagogik im Unterricht (PT) und Moral der Lehrer. Moral (TM).
