O objetivo deste estudo é examinar os factores que influenciam a motivação dos alunos na aprendizagem da disciplina de Educação Islâmica no nível secundário da Escola Islâmica Internacional (IIS) na Malásia. Para obter dados para este estudo, foi concebido um instrumento constituído por um questionário auto-construído. Este questionário, que utiliza uma escala de Likert de 5 pontos, tem 32 itens que medem a informação demográfica dos inquiridos e quatro construtos que motivam os alunos a aprender a disciplina de educação islâmica entre os alunos do IIS: a motivação dos alunos (SM), a influência dos pais (PI), a pedagogia do ensino (SM) e a moralidade dos professores (PM), que, segundo a teoria, podem influenciar a motivação geral dos alunos para aprender a disciplina. Os questionários foram distribuídos a 170 inquiridos, que foram determinados através de uma amostragem não probabilística por quotas. Os resultados deste estudo sugerem que a motivação dos inquiridos para a aprendizagem da disciplina de Educação Islâmica é influenciada pelos quatro construtos acima referidos: Motivação dos Alunos (ME), Influência Parental (IP), Pedagogia no Ensino (PT) e Moralidade dos Professores (MP).
