Cette étude menée à Ngaoundéré (Adamaoua, Cameroun) de mai à août 2023 a évalué l’effet de trois insecticides botaniques (Azadirachta indica, Eucalyptus camaldulensis et Tithonia diversifolia) sur l’entomofaune du tournesol (Helianthus annuus), comparés à un insecticide de synthèse (Téma) et à un témoin. L’essai, conduit en bloc complètement randomisé, visait à analyser les ravageurs, les pollinisateurs, l’activité de butinage d’Apis mellifera et l’impact sur les rendements. Trente-trois espèces d’insectes ont été recensées, dont 19 ravageurs dominés par Polyrachis sp. et 14 pollinisateurs, avec une forte dominance d’A. mellifera. Les extraits botaniques ont réduit significativement les populations de ravageurs et les dégâts, tout en influençant l’activité floricole. La pollinisation par A. mellifera a amélioré le taux de fructification et la qualité des graines. Ces résultats confirment que les insecticides botaniques constituent une alternative durable aux insecticides chimiques, tout en préservant les pollinisateurs et en améliorant les rendements du tournesol.
