Why do people arrive at different conclusions when faced with the same reality? This book is a journey from classical logic and philosophy to human, social, and individual forms of reasoning; from mathematics and science to politics, culture, art, and everyday life.Drawing on more than four decades of experience in teaching, research, and scholarly dialogue, the authors invite readers to reflect on a fundamental question: How do knowledge, experience, beliefs, language, culture, emotions, and social environments shape the way we think and reason? The book demonstrates that understanding others requires more than simply recognizing their viewpoints; it also demands an understanding of the underlying logics through which they think, judge, and make decisions. Each Mind Has Its Own Logic is an invitation to thoughtful reflection, meaningful dialogue, tolerance, and a deeper understanding of both humanity and the world around us.Professor Esfandiar Eslami is one of Iran’s most distinguished mathematicians and a retired professor of mathematics at Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman. Through his extensive teaching and mentorship, he has made a lasting contribution to the development of mathematics education and research in Iran. Professor Eslami’s research has focused on mathematical logic, many-valued and non-classical logics, algebraic logic, fuzzy set theory, and their applications in science and engineering. He is the author and translator of several influential books in fuzzy logic and fuzzy mathematics, including internationally published volumes with leading scholars in the field. His scholarly record includes more than one hundred publications in prestigious national and international journals and conference proceedings. He has supervised over fifty master’s students and twenty-four doctoral candidates, served on the editorial boards of numerous academic journals, and collaborated with prominent researchers worldwide. In recognition of his contributions, he has received honors such as Outstanding Researcher of the Ministry of Science, Outstanding University Researcher, Distinguished Teacher, and Lifetime Achievement recognition in Fuzzy Systems, establishing him as a pioneering figure in the advancement of fuzzy logic and modern mathematics in Iran.Dr. Ruhollah Hoseini Naveh is a mathematician specializing in set theory and mathematical logic, with research interests spanning forcing, forcing with side conditions, combinatorial and descriptive set theory, inner model theory, large cardinals, determinacy, and cardinal invariants.

Population-based survey experiments have become an invaluable tool for social scientists struggling to generalize laboratory-based results, and for survey researchers besieged by uncertainties about causality. Thanks to technological advances in recent years, experiments can now be administered to random samples of the population to which a theory applies. Yet until now, there ...
