The study of bioecology is of fundamental importance for the analysis and interpretation of the biological aspects that enable the stability of a species in a given habitat. The aim of this study was to investigate the bioecology of Plagusia depressa (Fabricius, 1775) in the reefs of Pontal de Coruripe, in Coruripe (10º 07’ 33’ S and 36° 10’ 33’ W), on the southern coast of Alagoas, Brazil, 90 km from Maceió. This study analysed seasonal variation, catch per unit effort (CPUE), sex ratio, growth, allometry, reproductive period, fecundity, recruitment period and abiotic data.
