La forêt de réserve de Chapredi est située au nord du district de Kachchh. Cette réserve forestière représente une forêt épineuse tropicale unique avec une grande diversité faunistique. Dans la présente étude, l’accent a été mis sur les espèces de mammifères et sur la composition et la structure de la végétation ligneuse. Au cours de la présente étude, un total de 12 espèces de plantes ligneuses ont été signalées dans la FR de Chapredi de Bhuj Takula. Parmi les 12 espèces ligneuses recensées, 5 sont des arbres et 7 appartiennent à la forme de vie des arbustes. La forêt mixte d’épineux représente la plus grande diversité d’espèces ligneuses, suivie par la forêt d’acacias. La forêt de Prosopis représente la plus faible diversité d’espèces ligneuses dans la FR de Chapredi. Les mammifères de la FR de Chapredi ont été étudiés sur deux sites et deux saisons. Sur la base d’observations directes et de preuves indirectes, un total de 9 espèces de mammifères appartenant à 8 familles et 9 genres a été enregistré. 540 preuves indirectes de 9 espèces ont été enregistrées. Quatre espèces d’herbivores, deux espèces de carnivores, une espèce de granivores et une espèce d’omnivores et de frugivores ont été enregistrées.
