Auf der Agronomy Farm des S.K.N. College of Agriculture, Jobner (Rajasthan) während des Kharif 2010 auf lehmigem Sandboden durchgeführt. Es wurden vier Behandlungen mit unterschiedlichen Vermicompost-Mengen (Kontrolle, 2, 4 und 6 t/ha) und vier Behandlungen mit unterschiedlichen Fruchtbarkeitsgraden (Kontrolle, 50, 75 und 100 % der RDF) durchgeführt, wodurch 16 Behandlungskombinationen in einem randomisierten Blockdesign mit drei Wiederholungen getestet wurden. Die empfohlene Düngerdosis für Perlhirse betrug 60 kg N und 20 kg P2O5/ha. Der Kornertrag war aufgrund der Ausbringung von 6 t/ha Wurmkompost gegenüber der Kontrolle mit 2 und 4 t/ha deutlich höher. In Bezug auf die Trockenmasseansammlung pro Meter Reihenlänge bei 30 DAS, das Testgewicht, den Kornertrag und den Ernteindex blieb die Behandlung mit 50 bis 100 % RDF jedoch nahezu gleich. Die 100 % Fruchtbarkeitswerte (RDF) ohne Vermicompost erwiesen sich als wirtschaftlich und erzielten den höchsten Ertrag (Rs 16532 ha-1).
