Las actividades lúdicas para el desarrollo de la motricidad gruesa en niños con Síndrome de Down de 8 a 9 años, es resultado investigativo que surge del problema sobre la influencia de las actividades lúdicas en el desarrollo de esta habilidad en niños con Síndrome de Down (SD) de esas edades en el Centro de Educación Especializada AVINNFA, de la ciudad Milagro en Guayas. De ahí que se haya trazado el objetivo de determinar la influencia de las actividades lúdicas en el desarrollo de la motricidad gruesa en estos niños, tema significativo en tanto las bases legales y programas concretos que se establecen en el empeño de la inclusión. Para este propósito se utilizó una metodología basada en el enfoque mixto, de tipo explicativo y con rasgos exploratorios, porque, aun cuando existen estudios precedentes se consideró indagar objetivamente en el espacio de la Educación Especial. La utilización de los métodos teóricos, empíricos y matemáticos aportó el fundamento teórico necesario, así como la corroboración del problema y, además, la necesidad de los docentes de identificar con más amplitud teórico-práctica las características de los niños con SD.
