A malária é um problema de saúde grave no Senegal. Dada a natureza sazonal da doença, a introdução de ferramentas de apoio à decisão, como a utilização de modelos para prever a ocorrência de epidemias de paludismo, seria de importância vital na luta contra a doença. Por conseguinte, este estudo contribui para uma melhor compreensão da relação entre o clima e o paludismo, com o objetivo de melhorar a vigilância e a gestão do paludismo. O estudo foi realizado na região de Ziguinchor, utilizando dados que abrangem um período de oito (08) anos, de 2015 a 2022. Foram utilizados dois tipos de dados mensais, nomeadamente dados meteorológicos e dados de saúde (número de casos confirmados de paludismo). A metodologia adoptada consistiu em análise gráfica, regressão linear simples e regressão linear múltipla. Os parâmetros mais relevantes foram selecionados através do método de eliminação retroactiva. Por fim, o modelo foi validado através de quatro (04) testes estatísticos (teste de Shapiro-Wilk, teste do fator de inflação da variância, teste de Durbin-Watson e teste de Goldef-Quandt), seguido de uma verificação de robustez através do diagrama de Taylor.
