A presente obra teve como objectivo compreender a relevância da gestão estratégica no processo de recrutamento e selecção dos candidatos à formação de sargentos na Escola de Sargentos das Forças Armadas (ESFA), em Boane, no período de 2022-2023. O estudo analisou de que forma as práticas de recrutamento e selecção contribuem para o alcance dos objectivos estratégicos da instituição, bem como o grau de alinhamento entre os critérios aplicados e as metas organizacionais. Metodologicamente, a investigação caracterizou-se como descritiva e exploratória, recorrendo a métodos mistos, com aplicação de questionários e entrevistas a 30 militares (entre sargentos, praças e oficiais).
