John Horton’s story begins a century ago, in a three-room log cabin in North Carolina. As the son of a former slave and a devout mother, John learned the value of a good work ethic and the strength of a loving family, but he showed a strong resistance to his early introduction to Bible study. Follow his journey from childhood to the military to a near-death experience that changed his life in this inspirational memoir. Today, at the age of 100, John consistently attends a weekly Bible study and Sunday school, and at the end of the meetings he often shakes his head in amazement and says, 'I’m still learning!'
